New Book: 90 Years of Education

Al Waraqoon has launched its latest book, "90 Years of Education". A commemorative book by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the outset of education in the Kingdom, with a photographic account of its developments and impressive achievements since the establishment of the first school in the Kingdom in 1919.

Alwaraqoon W.L.L. participated in the exhibition during the 3rd Arab Youth Media Forum held on the 6th to 7th of December 2010 in Amman, Jordan, under the patronage of the Prime Minister Samir Rifai of Jordan, the presence of her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali of Jordan, and the founder of the Jordan Media Institute.

The books by Al Waraqoon which were on exhibit received numerous praises from the event guests. Mohammed Bu Hassan, the CEO of Al Waraqoon W.L.L., warmly received the guests including media personalities Ghassan Ben Jeddo, from Al-Jazeera Channel; Nayef Albashara of Kuwait's Alrai  TV; Turki Abdullah Al Sudairi, Editor-in-Chief of Al Riyadh newspaper.

Mohammed Bu Hassan presented some of Alwaraqoon's books to HRH Princess Rym Ali, for the Library of the Jordan Media Institute. The team of Haitham Yousef, Ambassador of the Arab Youth Media Forum, organized the event.

Al Waraqoon, United Printing and Publishing team up to bring Arabic culture, tradition and heritage.

Al Waraqoon W.L.L. has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with United Printing and Publishing (UPP), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), to publish books focused on the Arabic culture, tradition and heritage.

Al Waraqoon W.L.L. has chosen UPP for its stringent printing quality standards and strict adherence to international norms for environment protection.

The partnership with UPP stems from the desire to bring to the contemporary world, coffee table books that besides being a treat to the eyes, explores the much preserved traditions and customs practiced in the regions popularly known as the Middle East and the Mena region.
